An Ischgl favourite, the Hotel Post offers top facilities and excellent service. Situated in the picturesque town centre, it's just a few minutes walk to the Silvretta gondola, making for easy access to the mountains around.

The alpine-chic rooms are tastefully designed with comfort in mind and meals are delicious, offering the chance to taste regional specialities created using seasonal produce.

Guided walks and activities

Staff make their guests so comfortable that it might be hard to imagine leaving the hotel, but with all the activities on offer, you might be tempted. There's a programme of walks with a professional guide, a weekly Nordic walking lesson, and a weekly fitness programme. They also offer discounts on bike rental (including e-bikes), and you can even borrow a rucksack and walking poles from reception (subject to availability).

Experience the luxury spa

At 1,500 square metres, the hotel's spa is wellness heaven. There's an indoor & outdoor pool, nine different saunas, a steam room, and a lovely relaxation area. Experience a daily guided sauna infusion with the Sauna Master (subject to availability), head to the gym, or join a yoga or meditation class. Sun loungers surround the beautiful outside pool and gardens which are a lovely way to admire the surrounding views.

Ischgl offers charming boutiques for a spot of shopping and the iconic Silvretta Therme Spa, where a dip in the panoramic outdoor pool after a wellbeing massage is a must. Nature lovers will enjoy Madleinsee, while families and adventurers can explore Pardatschersee with its play areas, adventure trails, and suspension bridges. Just outside town, Vidersee Lake features the Vider Truja Adventure Park, a water-themed park with fountains, waterfalls, and a Barefoot Trail. It’s a 7.5 km walk, but you can take a gondola if you prefer.

Exploring the Paznauntal

Pack a picnic and hike to the emerald green waters of Lake Berglisee for the day. The water is revitalising and there are grill stations lakeside for your picnic. A little further down the valley from Ischgl, the old villages of See and Kappl are both worth a visit. See has a shallow swimming lake which is great for the kids and you can hire parasols and deckchairs. Kappl has its own waterpark, and the many little cafés in the main street are a perfect place to stop for a Schnapps before you head back to Ischgl.

Ischgl has become a bit of a foodie hotspot with some award-winning restaurants where you can tuck into Austrian specialities like their traditional Ischgler Käsespätzle or sweet pancake desserts. Postello or Postwiese Austrian Twin Rooms are between 30-40m² and sleep two people. They have an ensuite with shower. (Allocation of Postello or Postwiese is subject to availability and allocated on arrival).

Postmeister Austrian Twin Rooms are more spacious at around 38-45m². These rooms sleep two people and have an ensuite with shower.

Family Rooms are around 45m² and sleep three to four people. These rooms will either be a spacious Postmeister room with additional double sofa bed, or a family room with an Austrian Twin bed and a separate room with two single sofa beds. They will have an ensuite with shower.

Postello or Postmeister Single Rooms are spacious at around 19-22m². These rooms have a French bed and an ensuite with shower. (Allocation of Postello or Postmeister is subject to availability and allocated on arrival).

You'll dine in style at the Hotel Post, with fine dining from breakfast until dinner. The buffet breakfast includes hot and cold options. Local dishes, regional delicacies, and a vitality corner with seasonal organic produce will set you up for the day.

In the evenings, you'll be treated to a gourmet four-course dinner with choice of main dish (including a vegetarian option) and a salad buffet. Once a week the hotel also hosts a gala dinner where you can enjoy a welcome drink, gala menu, live music and a great atmosphere.

Bar 67 was given three 'glasses' and 91 points by Falstaff magazine (an international magazine dedicated to food, wine and travel) so you know it's definitely worth stopping by for a drink. You can expect incredible cocktails and views of the night sky, and you have to try the Ischgl gin.

Ursprung racks up yet more points from Falstaff magazine and is the hotel's à la carte restaurant and wine bar. With the terrace renowned as Ischgl's sunniest spot, it's a great place for an outstanding lunch.

The Wine Shop has been developed with carefully selected wines from Austrian growers. If you find your tipple of choice among their incredible collection of wines you can buy a bottle to take home.
