Beginner skiing in Les Menuires

If it's your first time on the mountain, the local area has an extensive nursery slope with a number of carpet lifts. Once you've found your feet, head up the Roc 1 lift to access the La Violette run, which is a wide green run, perfect for building your confidence.

As you progress, the local area has a number of cruisy blues and wide red runs allowing you to explore the mountain and improve the techniques you have learnt in ski or snowboard lessons.

Intermediate skiing in Les Menuires

Les Menuires itself has plenty of blue and red runs on both sides of the mountain. Mont de la Chambre is an excellent area to get your ski legs back if you have been away from the mountains. If you want to go further afield, there's direct access to the Three Valleys from Mont de la Chambre side. Keep an eye out for fabulous views of Mont Blanc at the top of the chair lift.

There are slightly more challenging runs over on the Point de Le Masse side, there's several long and technical descents, which has great snow conditions given its north facing direction. If you just want to enjoy the views, the Bouquetin and Vallon runs are lovely long blue runs which head back down into resort.

Advanced skiing in Les Menuires

If you like a challenge, head over to Point de la Masse, where you will find challenging blacks or you can enjoy the thrill of the three Liberty Runs in Les Menuires. The slopes are non-groomed, perfect for a powder day.

There's a number of famous black runs located in the Three Valleys all of which are sure to challenge the more advanced skiers and boarders, head down the Bartavelle run in Méribel to truly test your skills or fly down the L'Eclipse in Courchevel which hosted the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships.

Snowboarding in Les Menuires

Snowboarders can make the most of the ungroomed slopes in Point de la Masse, as well as the BK Park in Les Menuires which has a fun park with rails, boxes and jumps of varying levels, as well as a boarder-cross section.

Things To Do

Restaurants, food and drink

Whether you're up in the mountains or in resort, there's a number of restaurants, cafes and bars in Les Menuires. Serving delicious Savoyard cuisine, we recommend trying the tartiflette or fondue. Typified by their use of cheese and potatoes, these regional specialities provide a filling and necessary meal after a day on the mountain.

Après and nightlife

Whilst Les Menuires is not known for it’s après and nightlife, there's plenty of bars both on and off the mountain. A good spot for some après ski is at Croissette where there are a number of bars to choose from. Bar Le Challenge often has live music or theme nights throughout the season, as well a happy hour each day.

If you fancy dancing on the tables, head to La Folie Douce in Val Thorens. Be sure to check when the lifts close, as it is a short taxi journey back to resort otherwise!

Closer to home, Le Leerberty night club is a great spot. With a good choice of music and reasonably priced drinks you’re bound to have a good time.

Shopping

There are plenty of small supermarkets dotted about the resort for those staying on a self-catering basis and require groceries. Similarly, there are lots of shops selling souvenirs and postcards to remember your trip.

Equipment rental and sports shops are typically open until late in the day so you can maximise your time on the mountain before returning your equipment at the end of your last day.

Spa and Relaxation

For a more relaxing day head to Le Break, the sport centre has a pool with mountain views, a spa area and hammam, as well as a sports space with a gym, sports courts and a fun park for the children.

If you are staying in Les Bruyeres, treat yourself to an afternoon relaxing in the Wellness and Aquacentre and Spa, where there's a swimming pool and wellness centre to relax those achy ski legs.

Tobogganing

Swap your ski or board for a toboggan at the Roc’n’Bob slope, where there are 4km of tobogganing on a snowy trail with a 450m vertical drop and 22 bends. Alternatively, go down the 1000m long ‘sledge on rails’ on Speed Mountain which has a series of twists, drops and turns.

Snowshoeing

Discover the mountain on snowshoes to experience the wildlife, nature and breath-taking mountain views in the Belleville Valley.

Paragliding

Take to the skies for a birds eye view of the valley and admire the mountains in all their glory (skis only).

Dog Sledding

Be taken on a dog drawn sledge around the wintery landscape surrounding Les Menuires. This is an incredibly popular excursion so make sure to book this with your resort representative when you arrive as places can be limited.
