Beginner skiing and snowboarding in Narvik

Narvik has some gentle green slopes that make great practice slopes as well as some nice cruisy blues that are ideal for progressing. The shorter green runs are located at the base of the mountain besides Sneff Park - a separate children's area - and are accessible via the magic carpet. The longest green run, Fjellveien, can be reached on the central gondola. This run is also neighboured by a blue area that later merges onto the end of the Fjellveien, so is a good option for those of you needing a refresh after the summer.

Intermediate skiing and snowboarding in Narvik

Intermediates have a wider selection of slopes to choose from, with pistes progressing from blues to reds the higher up the mountain you go. Intermediates can enjoy nicely groomed red runs, including the Linkenløypa from the mountaintop.

Advanced skiing and snowboarding in Narvik

There are plenty of challenging trails designed to get your adrenaline pumping - the black diamond run, Andrebakken, situated alongside the Heis 2 t-bar lift is one we'd definitely recommend. Narvikfjellet also boasts one of Scandinavia’s biggest vertical drops and has fantastic terrain for off-piste skiing. The ascent begins just beyond the heart of the city, taking you up to 1,006 meters above sea level in just 10 minutes. Once you reach the top of Narvikfjellet, the views are stunning, with slopes dropping almost to the fjord below.

Off piste and terrain parks in Narvik

Narvik is known for its extensive off-piste and backcountry terrain so if you love chasing fresh powder, you're in the right place. We recommend trying out the easily accessible off-piste powder routes, many of which divert away from the central green Fjellveien route. There’s a pick ‘n mix of fun, ungroomed red routes to choose from.

Adrenaline-seekers and more experienced skiers and boarders can explore the endless backcountry surrounding Narvik. This unspoilt wilderness of mountains, valleys, glaciers and waterfalls expands into Sweden.
