Example Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Lake Como
Transfer by coach from the airport to Lake Como to begin your stay in one of our hotels.
Days 2-3: Lake Como
Spend a few days soaking up the dramatic scenery on Lake Como. We recommend visiting the famous Villa Carlotta. Como Town is easy to get to, too. Take the local bus or ferry and enjoy the café culture of the provincial capital. The small town of Varenna is another beautiful place to check out with some great lake front restaurants where you can have a nice leisurely lunch.
Day 4: St. Moritz & the Bernina Express
If you wanted a fun day out, head to Switzerland for a memorable day by booking onto our St. Moritz & the Bernina train excursion (optional extra). This is our most popular excursion on Lake Como and this full-day outing includes time in Tirano where you can visit the remarkable cathedral. You'll also stop off in the quaint town of Chiavenna - the perfect place for grabbing for an ice-cream or coffee in the cobbled piazza.
Day 5: Lake Como to Lake Maggiore
Take a private transfer to Stresa on Lake Maggiore where you'll spend the next seven nights at your chosen hotel.
Days 7-10: Lake Maggiore
Get to know Lake Maggiore. Based in Stresa, you’ll be at the centre of it all. We recommend visiting the Borromean Islands, which are just a short boat ride away. There are also the botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto and lots of nice walks straight from your hotel. When you’re not out seeing the sights, explore the old town where bars and restaurants spill out onto cobbled squares, and enjoy leisurely strolls along the lakefront promenade.
Day 11: Lake Maggiore
Enjoy a final day to relax in the sunshine and enjoy the beautiful lake.
Day 12: Stresa to UK
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
