Arinsal

  • Lift pass offer: Free lift pass for children under 12 years when parents pre-book lift passes - Please see our lift pass offers page for more details
  • Resort altitude of 1,550 metres
  • 63 kilometres across the Pal-Arinsal ski area
  • 7 green slopes, 14 blue slopes, 17 red slopes and 4 black slopes

Arinsal, located towards Andorra’s western border with Spain, is part of Andorra’s Vallnord ski region which includes the Pal and Arinsal ski areas, with runs totalling almost 60 miles. There are two separate and very distinct villages - Arinsal is more lively with lots of night life, and La Massana which has more shops and restaurants. The resorts are 6 kilometres apart and connected by bus that runs until 9pm. Both Arinsal and La Massana are family-orientated and offer you access to some of the best-value skiing anywhere in Europe.

Skiing and snowboarding in Arinsal

Between both villages there are plenty of well-prepared confidence building runs making it an ideal destination if you and your group are made up of beginners and intermediates. The radical ‘Freestyle Area’ also caters well for snowboarders. The season runs from December till mid-April and snow here is good until the end of season thanks to most of the slopes being covered by snow canons. New for winter 2024/25, the chairlift up from Port Negre has been replaced with a six seater chairlift, which can take over 2400 people up per hour. This gives you improved access to the upper section of the resort.

Where to stay in Arinsal

Arinsal is a very friendly village and is well suited to couples and families. We offer a range of hotels in both Arinsal and La Massana so you can choose the village that's best suited to you. Whether you simply want a base and plan on spending most of your time on the mountains or you'd like the whole package with access to wellness and relaxation areas, we're sure you'll find something that ticks all your boxes.

Bars and restaurants in Arinsal

Throughout both villages, there are great international places to eat including some Argentinian steak houses, Mexican restaurants and pizzerias. There are also a selection of bars and Irish pubs, with most restaurants and bars being family-friendly. If you are looking for a bite to eat, Pasta Box in Caubella is a new addition this winter, serving tasty dishes in a trattoria setting. Après ski is more lively in Arinsal than La Massana and one of the firm favourites is an open bar and club known as Surf which has live DJ performances as well as a restaurant area.

Ski deals in Arinsal

The Nord lift pass covers the local areas of Arinsal and Pal (La Massana) as well Ordino-Arcalis where you find good opportunities for snowboarding - don't worry when skiing between Arinsal and La Massana as free use of the ski bus that runs between the two villages is included with the pass. And if you feel like switching it up during your stay, the pass also provides a day in the Grandvalira Ski Area which includes Arinsal's neighbouring resorts of Soldeu & Pas de la Casa.
