The huge ski area of the Grandvalira, which links the resorts of Soldeu and Pas de la Casa, has over 200 kilometres of slopes as well as an impressive, modern lift system with state-of-the-art gondolas and fast chairs, leaving no area unexplored. After a day on the slopes, try some tapas and discover the Catalan influences in the food, drink and lively après-ski. Or head over to the neighbouring ski village of El Tarter which provides a peaceful gateway to a fantastic network of slopes.
Skiing and snowboarding in Soldeu
Located in the heart of the Grandvalira ski area, Soldeu is best situated for beginners and intermediates. The ski season runs from early December through to mid-April, and don't worry when planning your holiday for the later months as most of the slopes are over 2000 metres with a good proportion of these being covered by artificial snow canons - this resort is snow sure throughout the whole season.
Where to stay in Soldeu
Most of our properties in Soldeu are hotels but there are apartments available too if you'd like a more homely feel for your winter trip. If you're aiming to hit the slopes as early as possible then Hotel Himalaia is the right choice as the property is ski in/ski out. On the other hand, if wellness and relaxation after an energetic day is more your style then we'd recommend Hotel Piolets Park.
Bars and restaurants in Soldeu
Andorra loves an Irish pub and there are many to choose from across Soldeu, so you can grab a drink and some hearty food after a day on the slopes. If you'd prefer an evening meal out, there are also a range of restaurants down the main street, serving a variety of foods from traditional tapas, Italian and Asian cuisine.
Soldeu is definitely quieter than its sister resort of Pas de la Casa, but that doesn't mean the drinks don't flow. The vibe here is more lounging and socialising, but there are still opportunities to have a cocktail or two before calling it a day.
