Ski in Lech and you'll enjoy one of Austria's most exclusive resorts, dominated by a lovely 14th century church and river, high up in the Arlberg valley next to the tiny hamlet of Zürs, surrounded by stunning peaks.

Skiing and snowboarding in Lech

Skiing holidays in Lech give you easily accessible slopes and good intermediate skiers can enjoy the famous White Ring circuit that links Lech with Zürs, Zug and Oberlech. Wonderfully picturesque runs link Lech to scenic Oberlech, whilst the newly replaced Madlochbahn and Zugerbergbahn efficiently completes the White Ring Circuit loop from Zürs to Zug.

The extensive Arlberg ski area also includes the neighbouring resorts of Stuben, St.Christoph, St. Anton and Sonnenkopf, although there is more than enough skiing for even the best skiers in Zürs and Lech alone. In addition, off-piste opportunities are numerous and these are the only resorts in Austria that offer heli-skiing.

Where to stay in Lech

You won't find many finer hotels than in Lech. This exclusive resort has some of the best 4* superior and 5* hotels in Austria, many of them with ski-in, ski-out locations and top quality service. The dining here is second to none, with gourmet dishes featuring in many of the hotel's half-board options.

Bars and restaurants in Lech

Lech provides sophisticated après-ski, including some outdoor ice bars serving champagne. Non-skiers can browse exclusive boutiques, enjoy the extensive walking trails in the valley or take a horse-drawn sleigh ride from the picturesque village into the romantic Zug Valley.

What's included in an Inghams holiday to Lech

Flights, transfers and accommodation based on self catering, half board, chalet catering, full board or all inclusive. Optional add ons include equipment hire, lift pass and tuition, please see the 'Ski extras' tab below for more information on these.

Gotthard Winterfassade

Located in the centre of Lech and family run for three generations, the Hotel Gotthard is a firm favourite. An on-site brewery serves up cold beers and the café bakes fresh bread and cakes everyday, making it easy to see why we love this hotel.

Beginners skiing in Lech

Beginners' gentle nursery slopes are located beside the village, conveniently placed for all our hotels.

Intermediates skiing in Lech

Idyllic wide open, long blue and red runs are plentiful in the area and capable intermediates will enjoy the White Ring circuit which connects the villages. The Jet-lift connection to Warth adds a further 17km of red runs to the ski area

Advanced skiing in Lech

An experienced skiers' dream with probably the best, most challenging off-piste skiing in Austria, as well as some Superb black runs.

Snowboarding in Lech

The wide open slopes are ideal for snowboarding. There is a boarders’ funpark under the Schlosskopf chairlift in Lech and the Salober snowpark in Warth.

Our favourite run

'It's hard to pick one run in the massive Arlberg area, but apart from some lovely scenic runs above and through Oberlech, my favourite is probably the red run from the top of the Schindler Spitze down to St Christoph, which has a great snow record.' (Neil Lodge, Product Manager Austria).
