Hotel Unterhof is full of traditional Austrian charm, you are made to feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Getting onto the snowy slopes of Filzmoos couldn't be easier, the ski slopes are just opposite the hotel, so you can start and end your day with ease. When you return an inviting pool and spa area are waiting for you.

Historic hotel

The hotel's 15th century roots can be felt throughout, the rustic restaurant and adjacent bar have a historic tavern-like feel and dimly lit ambience.

The corridors are spacious, have candle themed lights, and led lighting. All rooms have modern furnishings and are incredibly comfortable and inviting. The staff are brilliant here, Mr Seebacher has a lifetime experience in running hotels and it shows in his quality of service and attentive team.

Prime village location

You are in an ideal village position close to ski lifts and amenities. Located directly opposite a ski slope it is very close to being a ski in/ ski out hotel. 

Pool with a view

The indoor pool has a natural theme and a large window providing stunning views of the valley. Two saunas and a steam room complete the extensive spa facilities here.

Filzmoos

Filzmoos is a truly idyllic mountain village where little has changed over the years. It has an excellent snow record, superb panoramic views and downhill runs straight into the village. 

Skiing and snowboarding in Filzmoos

With wide, quiet slopes, Filzmoos is ideal for families. There’s some lovely glade-skiing off piste, and cross-country enthusiasts can enjoy the 14 kilometre high-altitude Rossbrand trail.

Nestling in between the Bischofsmütze and Dachstein mountains, the resort has much to offer both the skier and the non-skier - and wherever you ski, the slopes are usually uncrowded and lift queues non-existent.

As part of the Ski Amadé region offering 760 km of pistes and covering five different regions with 25 ski resorts, there is plenty for intermediate and advanced skiers to explore. You can easily access the Ski Amadé region using local buses which run regularly and are payable locally.

Where to stay in Filzmoos

Filzmoos is a traditional mountain village with excellent quality of hotels on offer. All within a short walk of the village centre.

Bars and restaurants in Filzmoos

Après-ski is popular at a couple of bars and cafés in the village, such as the lively 'Happy Filzmoos' or the cosy 'Kenn-i-di' bar. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are possible through the forests to the romantic Unterhof and Oberhof huts.
