Skiing and snowboarding in Lake Louise
If you’re looking for lots of mileage on the slopes, this is a great spot to stay as the local area alone has over 4,200 acres of varied terrain spread across four mountain faces – it’s one of the largest in North America. The area is known for its variety, from gentle slopes and long cruisy runs, to glades and some of the Canadian Rockies most thrilling, wide open bowls. From the Top of the World Express chair, the view along the Bow Valley is one of almost unsurpassed grandeur, with an unbroken chain of towering peaks scattered with hanging blue glaciers, and green valley floors. This place is a photographers dream.
The triple area SkiBig3 lift pass covers Lake Louise, and two additional distinctive ski areas (Mount Norquay and Banff Sunshine Village. A regular and free ski bus service, included with your pre-booked lift pass, operates between all three ski areas.
Where to stay in Lake Louise
We feature two hotels in Lake Louise. The 5-star Fairmont Chateau and the 3.5-star Lake Louise Inn. Both hotels offer fantastic views of the surrounding resort and feature onsite restaurants and spa facilities that you can use. The Fairmont is available on a room only, bed and breakfast or half board basis, whereas the Lake Louise Inn is offered on a room only board basis.

Lake Louise provides a wide selection of bars and restaurants - Choose from a variety of drink and food menus either at base resort level, or take in the breath-taking views of the Canadian Rockies from one of the many on-mountain eateries accessible via the slopes.
