Set against truly spectacular scenery at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc, the resort's setting is both unique and breath-taking. Chamonix offers an excellent range of sporting and leisure facilities with an unrivalled nightlife whilst Les Houches is quieter but full of Alpine charm.
Chamonix has been awarded two Flocon Vert snowflakes, demonstrating the resort's commitment to environmental preservation and highlighting its dedication to sustainable development. Guests can benefit from a guest card included with your accommodation, this gives you free access to the trains and buses in the Chamonix valley. The main fleet has a range of electric buses and hybrid buses to transport you around the valley. Chamonix has also begun the process of requesting UNESCO recognition for the Mont Blanc massif.
Challenging terrain and a vibrant centre makes Chamonix a favourite ski resort
With 90% of the terrain above 2000m, Chamonix has for many years attracted skiers looking for good snow. The choice of skiing is amazing, from cruisy blues and fun reds at Le Brevent, Flegere and Le Tour to more challenging runs at Les Grands Montets. There's even the renowned Valle Blanche, a 23km descent, an unmarked, unmaintained and unpatrolled off-piste run down into Chamonix.
There's an efficient ski bus service which links the five main ski areas with our accommodation in Chamonix and the nearby village of Les Houches, so you can experience a new area almost every day.
