La Folie Douce is one of the biggest names in après, and the welcoming hospitality follows through at this hotel. The former Savoy Palace has been renovated throughout, now offering a variety of different standard rooms and an eclectic mix of entertainment. The après scene you know and love is offered every evening with a range of dancers, singers and DJs.

Great location

One of the biggest names in après ski has decided to push the boundaries and open a hotel. Reinventing the Savoy Palace from the inside out, the Folie Douce Hotel will bring its eclectic mix of hospitality and entertainment to a permanent position in Chamonix. Hitting the slopes couldn't be easier, the Savoy lift is less than a minutes walk away, giving you access to the Brévent and Flégère ski area.

Food and drink

The hotel is offered on a bed & breakfast basis, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the variety of restaurants on site which are payable locally. La Fruitiere is a traditional French gourmet restaurant, Le Mayen provides traditional Savoyard specialities and La Petite Cuisine is a family style restaurant serving local produce. There is also a snack bar serving delicious pizza and spritz. Alternatively you can explore Chamonix by night and enjoy the fabulous range of restaurants on offer which are all just a short walk away.

What about the world famous après we hear you say? With après daily from 5-8pm, DJs, dancers, singers and musicians are all on the menu and we are sure this Folie flagship will not disappoint.

Guests can benefit from a guest card included with your accommodation, this gives you free access to the trains and buses in the Chamonix valley. The main fleet has a range of electric buses and hybrid buses to transport you around the valley. Chamonix has also begun the process of requesting UNESCO recognition for the Mont Blanc massif.

Challenging terrain and a vibrant centre makes Chamonix a favourite ski resort

With 90% of the terrain above 2000m, Chamonix has for many years attracted skiers looking for good snow. The choice of skiing is amazing, from cruisy blues and fun reds at Le Brevent, Flegere and Le Tour to more challenging runs at Les Grands Montets. There's even the renowned Valle Blanche, a 23km descent, an unmarked, unmaintained and unpatrolled off-piste run down into Chamonix.

There's an efficient ski bus service which links the five main ski areas with our accommodation in Chamonix and the nearby village of Les Houches, so you can experience a new area almost every day.
