The cosy, chic Hotel Campanules is right in the centre of Tignes Le Lac, giving you access to the fantastic Tignes Val d'Isere Ski Area. After a day of exploring the slopes, you can return to the pool and wellness area or enjoy a drink at the cosy residence lounge, and with it having an elevated location it benefits from great views across the resort and mountains.

Great location

With a central location in Tignes Le Lac, the shops, bars and restaurants are only a short walk away. You also benefit from being close to the slopes and lifts, which are around 300 metres away, making this an excellent choice if you want a hotel with a central location with easy access onto the slopes each day. When you return for the day, there is a heated boot room to store all of your equipment.

Spa and relaxation

Make the most of the amazing heated outdoor swimming pool which overlooks the lake and Grande Motte glacier, or soothe your muscles at the spa area which has a sauna and steam room - is the perfect place to relax. Treat yourself to a pamper session, where you can choose from a selection of massages and beauty treatments.

Wine and dine

Enjoying an elevated position in Tignes, the Campanules offers wonderful views across the resort and of the surrounding mountain peaks. Return from a day on the slopes and warm up with a hot chocolate in front of the fire, or have a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Wonderful views of the Grande Motte glacier can also be enjoyed from the spa and outdoor pool - it really is the perfect spot to unwind.

Staying on half board, you can enjoy evening meals within the properties own restaurant Le Chalet which serves comforting local cuisine with a modern touch. As part of the half board option, you can also dine in a handful of other restaurants nearby including Les Terrasses Du Levanna, La Brasserie De L'Arbina, Il Savoia (additional supplement) and the Aiguille Percee Restaurant - all of which serve delicious dishes inspired by the region and classic French bistro dishes.

Tignes is famous for it's record amounts of snowfall, making it the best place for skiers and snowboarders to carve up the slopes. The area has three main villages: Val Claret, Le Lac and Le Lavachet, which are linked together by a 24 hour free bus service. Val Claret is 2,100 metres high and has a superb position right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy village feel to them and also offer easy access to the slopes and over to Val d’Isère. The villages have a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants and have a lively, friendly, buzz about them. We also have accommodation in Tignes 1850 and Tignes Les Brevieres, which are quieter villages with easy access to the slopes.

Skiing and snowboarding in Tignes

There's a great mix of slopes in Tignes, making it a great place for families and groups of different levels. There's plenty of wide and long runs, through trees and on glaciers. One of the best runs has to be from the top of Grand Motte glacier and down the red into Tignes Val Claret village.

Where to stay in Tignes

We offer accommodation in all of the main villages in Tignes, with Le Lac and Val Claret being the most popular. Val Claret is 2,100 metres high and has a superb position right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy village feel to them and also offer easy access to the slopes and over to Val d’Isère. From the majority of the hotels and apartments you can reach the slopes within a few minutes, making it extremely easy to get onto this world-renowned ski area. We also offer a fantastic range of catered ski chalets in Tignes that are perfect for families and friends, providing you with the comforts and knowledge of your very own chalet hosts who are there to look after you for the duration of your ski holiday.

Bars and restaurants in Tignes

Tignes is a lively area with plenty of restaurant and après options, from live bands and happy hours in 'Loop Bar' to delicious local Savoyade fondues in 'Coeur des Neiges'. Tignes Val Claret has the famous 'Cocorico' apres bar and pizzeria, then 'La Folie Douce' is up in the mountains. There's a lot of restaurants dotted around the ski area for that well deserved mid-morning hot chocolate and then a lunch break.

Travel By Air

Flights to Chambery or Geneva from 13 UK airports.

Transfer Times

  • Chambery airport: approx. 2 hours 30 mins by coach
  • Geneva airport: approx. 4 hours by coach

There is a traffic light system for the Tarentaise Valley. This system controls and slows down the traffic, stopping traffic sitting in dangerous places, like tunnels, where rocks can fall and to make snow clearing easier when it is snowing. This can impact your transfer time, meaning you may arrive into resort later and be leaving for the airport earlier.

Transfers may be longer during bad weather conditions or French school holidays. French school holidays span 21 Dec 24 - 06 Jan 25, 08 Feb - 10 Mar 25 and 05 Apr - 05 May 25.

The transfer in Tignes will stop as chose as possible to your chosen accommodation and in some cases there may be a 5 minutes' walk due to the location of the property not being accessible by coach.
