This unique resort complex offers a variety of residences in a serene, slope-side setting. These apartments are comfortable, spacious, and in a range of sizes, which makes them ideal for families and groups.

Slope side location

The Village Montana apartments are a wonderful place to experience the charm of the Alps while enjoying all the modern comforts. You'll feel right at home in their convenient and quiet location in Tignes. The residence is made up of five apartment buildings which are close to the slopes, with some even benefitting from being on the edge of the piste. You can simply make your way onto the fantastic Tignes-Val d'Isere Ski Area, and with private ski lockers returning back to the residence at the end of the day couldn't be easier.

Soothing spa and relaxation

After a day of exploring the Tignes- Val d'Isere Ski Area, there is nowhere nicer to be than in the hotels wellness area. For a little extra, you can pay to use the lovely wellness area 'Les Bains du Montana', featuring a heated outdoor pool, and a spa area with a sauna, hammam and hot tubs to sooth your achy ski legs.

Well equipped

Each of the apartments has a well equipped kitchenette so you can whip up tasty meals, the supermarket is only a short walk away so you can stock up on the necessities. To take the hassle out of choosing what's for dinner, why not consider booking a Huski package - Huski deliver high quality oven meals to you, you just need to pop it in the oven and enjoy.

If you don't feel like cooking, reserve a table and treat your taste buds in one of the lovely Village Montana restaurants, serving Savoyard dishes influenced by the fresh and regional produce.

Tignes is famous for it's record amounts of snowfall, making it the best place for skiers and snowboarders to carve up the slopes. The area has three main villages: Val Claret, Le Lac and Le Lavachet, which are linked together by a 24 hour free bus service. Val Claret is 2,100 metres high and has a superb position right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy village feel to them and also offer easy access to the slopes and over to Val d’Isère. The villages have a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants and have a lively, friendly, buzz about them. We also have accommodation in Tignes 1850 and Tignes Les Brevieres, which are quieter villages with easy access to the slopes.

Skiing and snowboarding in Tignes

There's a great mix of slopes in Tignes, making it a great place for families and groups of different levels. There's plenty of wide and long runs, through trees and on glaciers. One of the best runs has to be from the top of Grand Motte glacier and down the red into Tignes Val Claret village.

Where to stay in Tignes

We offer accommodation in all of the main villages in Tignes, with Le Lac and Val Claret being the most popular. Val Claret is 2,100 metres high and has a superb position right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy village feel to them and also offer easy access to the slopes and over to Val d’Isère. From the majority of the hotels and apartments you can reach the slopes within a few minutes, making it extremely easy to get onto this world-renowned ski area. We also offer a fantastic range of catered ski chalets in Tignes that are perfect for families and friends, providing you with the comforts and knowledge of your very own chalet hosts who are there to look after you for the duration of your ski holiday.

Bars and restaurants in Tignes

Tignes is a lively area with plenty of restaurant and après options, from live bands and happy hours in 'Loop Bar' to delicious local Savoyade fondues in 'Coeur des Neiges'. Tignes Val Claret has the famous 'Cocorico' apres bar and pizzeria, then 'La Folie Douce' is up in the mountains. There's a lot of restaurants dotted around the ski area for that well deserved mid-morning hot chocolate and then a lunch break.

For guests on half board, breakfast will be a continental buffet breakfast with some additional hot options, usually served from 07:30 – 10am. This is taken in the Restaurant ‘Les Chanterelles’ which is located in the main hotel building of this complex. Enjoy a five course à la carte evening meal with choice of menu and waiter service at 'Les Chanterelles', a traditional French restaurant. Or book into their other two restaurants - choose between 'La Chaumiere' (Savoyarde specialities) or a traditional brasserie 'La Place' in Chalet Montana Platon at the entrance to the complex.

The restaurants can also be booked and paid for locally if you stick to the standard self-catering board basis. Opening times may vary, but are usually from 7 – 9:30pm. Please note that some dishes may have an additional supplement.

Travel By Air

Flights to Chambery or Geneva from 13 UK airports.

Transfer Times

  • Chambery airport: approx. 2 hours 30 mins by coach
  • Geneva airport: approx. 4 hours by coach

There is a traffic light system for the Tarentaise Valley. This system controls and slows down the traffic, stopping traffic sitting in dangerous places, like tunnels, where rocks can fall and to make snow clearing easier when it is snowing. This can impact your transfer time, meaning you may arrive into resort later and be leaving for the airport earlier.

Transfers may be longer during bad weather conditions or French school holidays. French school holidays span 21 Dec 24 - 06 Jan 25, 08 Feb - 10 Mar 25 and 05 Apr - 05 May 25.

The transfer in Tignes will stop as chose as possible to your chosen accommodation and in some cases there may be a 5 minutes' walk due to the location of the property not being accessible by coach.
