This traditional and lively hotel is packed with history. It’s a striking sight with its distinctive architecture and was one of the first hotels in Canazei, so it has a prime position in the centre of the resort. When you return from a day of exploring the Dolomites Ski Area, the lovely wellness area is the ideal spot to relax.

Historic hotel

With its grand design, bright exterior and colourful shutters, the Hotel Dolomiti definitely stands out amongst the snowy mountain peaks.  Once you head inside the same grandness continues with vaulted ceilings, Tyrolean style paintings and comfortable rooms.

When it comes to a restful night’s sleep, the bedrooms are each furnished in a unique alpine style. The Classic Rooms are comfortable, simply furnished, and equipped with everything needed for a stay in the mountains. For a more luxurious experience, upgrade to the more spacious Prestige Rooms complete with a hydro massage bathtub or shower. The hotel’s ambiance reflects the traditional alpine style, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Central location

Being one of the first hotel in Canazei, the Hotel Dolomiti has a fantastic position in the centre of resort. It's just a five-minute walk to the main Belvedere gondola, which links you to some fantastic skiing and directly joins onto the Sellaronda circuit. There’s a resort bus stop just outside the hotel if you don’t fancy the walk.

Wellness and relaxation

After a day of skiing or boarding, head to the wellness area to ease any achy muscles. Try the eucalyptus steam room or the dry sauna to ease any built up muscle tension - there's a local fee to enter but it is well worth it. After all that relaxing, make sure you don't miss dinner.  The restaurant serves a good choice of local, Mediterranean and national dishes. There’s also the Kaisertube, the pizzeria-come-pub, connected to the hotel via an internal corridor. They offer a 10% discount on the menu prices for guests. It's a great spot for lunch!

Where to stay in Val di Fassa

Canazei

As one of the largest villages in the Fassa valley, you won't be short of accommodation to choose from in Canazei. Val di Fassa is famous for Italian hospitality. Delicious restaurants serving local, home-cooked cuisine are in abundance. You can expect a lively après ski scene in and around resort, plus plenty of traditional culture and history in the area. The location couldn't be more perfect as the village is situated just below a forest of snow-covered trees and above that is the towering peaks of the almighty Dolomites. In the centre of the village, the Belvedere gondola is the gateway to the famous Sella circuit.

The closest hamlet just down the road is Alba, sat at the foot of the Marmolada and Sella. Here you will find the Col dei Rossi cable car which links directly onto the Sellaronda, so very convenient for the diehard skier.

Slightly further along the valley is Penia, a small but stunning area which is a suntrap for bluebird days. Between the two areas is the Ciampac 10-seater cable car which at the top has some of the most spectacular views of the Colac area. This is a quiet paradise for intermediate and advanced skiers with runs heading out towards the village of Pozza where you can access the quiet slopes of Rosengarten. Penia has access to the Sellaronda circuit too by the Col di Rossi cable car located between Alba and Penia.

The last village to mention is nestled in the middle of the valley, Campitello, sitting to the west of Canazei, is perfect for those looking for a traditional and more relaxed location with direct access onto the mountain via the Col Rodella cable car.
