The Park Hotel has a prime location in Voss, situated on the vibrant main street and opposite the serene shores of the beautiful Lake Vangsvatnet. Its setting makes it not only a picturesque place to stay but also incredibly convenient for exploring the area. For ski and snowboard enthusiasts, the Voss Gondol, located just a short walk from the hotel, giving you access to the Hangurstoppen ski area, renowned for its stunning views and ski runs.

Wine & Dine

Start your day off at the varied breakfast buffet with a range of sweet and savoury options. If you are feeling a bit peckish at lunchtime, the Station Cafe is a great spot to stop. The unique train-inspired café serves quick bites, like burgers and nachos in a cosy setting. When it comes to dinner you can enjoy a delicious evening meal at Restaurant Elysée, the menu is inspired by French cuisine and created with local, seasonal produce. The hotel is known for its extensive award-winning wine cellar, there are over 47,000 bottles of wine from all over the world. Be sure to speak to the sommelier for the recommendation of wines which pair well with your meal. If you would like to taste your way through the variety of wines available, wine tastings can be booked locally for groups of eight, where you'll sample regional and international wines and learn about their stories from knowledgeable sommeliers.

Voss is one of the largest ski resorts in Western Norway and is located just 100 kilometres from Bergen. Voss is loved for its lively local culture, cozy lodges, delicious Norwegian food, and fun après-ski scene. The breathtaking mountain views and nearby fjords make it a fantastic destination for outdoor enthusiasts all year round.

Skiing in Voss

Voss is known to have Norway's best skiing terrain with 40 kilometers of groomed alpine trails and 24 varied descents, including an international giant slalom course and a SuperG course. The ski area offers a fantastic range of terrain for both beginners and advanced skiers and boarders. Intermediates however have the best span available to them, with lots of slopes to master and improve their skills. There are also a range of manageable powder slopes that are perfect for learning basic off-piste skiing.

Boarders aren't forgotten about here, with a big jump, half pipe and boardercross easily accessible in the resorts snow park. The powder fields here are also excellent for freeriding.

Due to the shorter day light hours, night skiing is easily available in Voss. Evening skiing takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with more than 10 kilometres of floodlit trails for all levels.

Where to stay in Voss

We have a handful of hotels in Voss that tick all the boxes for the perfect ski holiday. The Fleischers Hotel is full of charm and character, having been built in 1864. Located just next to the train station and close to the Voss Gondola station, it is a great base for skiing and adventures. The hotel also offers some fantastic spa facilities for you to use and you'll receive a half board basis so breakfast and dinner will be included in your stay.

If you are looking for a bite to eat, there is no shortage of cafes, bars and restaurants in Voss. Many restaurants in Voss celebrate Norwegian culinary traditions. Expect to find places serving dishes like venison, salmon, and local cheeses. The town's bar scene is characterised by cosy pubs that often feature locally brewed beers. Many bars also offer a great après-ski experience.
