The Arenas Resort Victoria Lauberhorn has a central location in Wengen, close to the bars, restaurants and ski lift. After a day on the slopes of the Jungfrau you can enjoy the relaxing spa and wellness area.

Central Location

The Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn is located in the picturesque resort of Wengen, and has an excellent central location. You'll be moments away from the quaint village with traditional Alpine shops, bars and cafes - it's about a two minute walk to the train station and Mannlichen gondola which gives skiers and non-skiers access to the phenomenal Jungfrau region

The hotel combines traditional Alpine style with modern amenities, giving you a comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. We love the sun terrace here - it has incredible views of the Jungfrau and the impressive mountain landscape surrounding Wengen.

Soothing spa and relaxation

After a day of exploring the mountain, guests have free use of the hotels wellness facilities including a swimming pool, sauna, hammam and fitness room. Give your achy ski legs a break and make the most of the bathing area which features jet loungers and massage jets. Bathrobes are provided too, so you just need to sit back and relax.

The hotel also has an outdoor whirlpool, this is an additional fee but you will have exclusive access for around 50 minutes and have unobstructed views of the Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Local produce

Breakfast and evening meals are served in the Lobhörner restaurant, which offers beautiful views of the resort. Enjoy a three-course evening dinner prepared with fresh, regional products. Along with international dishes, the menu frequently has meals that are influenced by the Bernese Oberland.

Wengen

  • Ski from an altitude of 2,970 metres in the Jungfrau Ski Region
  • 211 kilometres of pistes across the whole ski area
  • 27 blue, 36 red and 19 black runs

The idyllic village of Wengen is high up on a sunny, sheltered terrace with spectacular views, dominated by the magnificent trio of peaks – the Eiger (Ogre), Mönch (Monk) and Jungfrau (Maiden) – which provide a spectacular backdrop to Mürren and Wengen, and in part to Grindelwald. You'll arrive in this charming, friendly village by scenic mountain railway as it has reduced traffic, although you'll spot a few electric vehicles around.

Skiing and Snowboarding in Wengen

Home of the famous Lauberhorn downhill race this area is a skiers paradise. With the Jungfrau whole area pass you'll have access to skiing and boarding in Wengen, Grindelwald and Mürren ski areas, on the other side of the Lauterbrunnen Valley.  Take the cable-car from Wengen village centre, which links to Grindelwald’s ski area or take the mountain railway to the Kleine Scheidegg where both ski areas meet. Whatever your ski ability, you'll have the chance to enjoy the expanse of slopes and beautiful scenery. If skiing and boarding's not for you or just fancy a few day's doing other winter activities, take advantage of the amazing winter walking and sledging network. Pre book a non-skiers pass and use the lift and rail network to link the sledge runs and hiking trails.

Development on the brand new Schilthorn cable car will be taking place over the winter 2024/25 season, limiting access to the top of the Piz Gloria/ Schilthorn mountain. The cable car will terminate at Birg, however there is still plenty of skiing in the local Murren area.

Bars and restaurants in Wengen

There are plenty of mountain restaurants across the Jungfrau area to check out for food at lunchtime. In the small village you'll find that some of the best restaurants are in the hotels, which are largely open to the public offering a la carte menus. With the majority of our accommodation available on a half board basis, so you'll have breakfast and dinner covered. When it comes to après in Wengen, think cosy bars and elegant lounges.
