Built in 2015, the COOEE Alpin Hotel is the ideal base if you are looking to make the most of the Kitzbüheler Alpen region. The COOEE name, meaning 'I am here - where are you' is a call to the mountains for any avid skier. 

Active hotel

Founded by Rainer Schonfelder, Austria's slalom World Cup champion, the COOEE Alpin Hotel is built with the purpose of bringing people together who are passionate about ski and who want to make the most of their time in the mountains.

Ski-back location

The main Harschbichl gondola is 800 metres away with access to the entire region. There is a bus stop 50 metres outside the hotel and you have ski-back access to the hotel's door when conditions are good.

Comfortable and convenient 

The hotel has everything you need without unnecessary bell and whistles. All bedrooms have a balcony and mountain views and are comfortable and modern. The hotel has a lounge and bar, as well as a wellness area including a bio sauna, Finnish sauna, and fitness room.

St. Johann in Tirol

St. Johann is a pretty resort ideally placed in the centre of the Kitzbüheler Alpen in Tirol. This resort is charming and creates a cosy small-town feel with some of it's main focuses put on children and families. The main centre is made up of a bustling market town and has plenty to do for skiers and non-skiers alike.

Skiing and snowboarding in St. Johann

With its own excellent intermediate area and a total of 163km of pistes covered on the 3-Länder Freizeit Arena lift pass, St. Johann is an ideal choice. In the local area there are 10 lifts and 40 kilometres of pistes covering St Johann and Oberndorf. Although it is not the biggest ski area, the variety offered is exceptional with fantastic options for both beginners and advanced skiers and boarders. St. Johann is also a superb resort for cross-country skiing, with tracks in all directions offering a network of 275km of trails.

Where to stay in St. Johann

We provide two hotels in St. Johann that are both great choices for your ski holiday. Sporthotel Austria offers a warm welcome to guests and is located just three minutes walk from the ski lifts. COOEE Alpin Hotel is a comfortable and modern hotel located close to the bus stop that has direct access to the Harschbichl Gondola. The hotel has ski back access when snow conditions are good.

Bars and restaurants in St. Johann

Known for being a lively resort, the semi-pedestrianised centre has plenty of cafés and bars in which to enjoy some après-ski and nightlife. There are more than 50 bars and restaurants for you to explore during your stay, and there is a wide variety to suits all tastes.
