Skiing and snowboarding in Sölden

Sölden is totally unique as a ski area, with three mountains over 3,000 metres and two glaciers - Retttenbach and Tiefenbach, ensuring superb snow conditions and reliability. The 'BIG 3 Rally' loop takes you to all of the 3,000m plus peaks on a 50km circuit in a day that will take you to some viewpoints you will be sure to remember. Skiing is almost exclusively above the tree line with 144 km of world–class skiing and snowboarding for all ability levels, easily accessible by the efficient lift system.

The lift pass also covers a further 110km of wide open, cruising runs in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area. This 5* resort is just a free ski bus away and offers some of the most snow-sure slopes and perfectly groomed runs in the region. Spending a day or two exploring this area from Sölden is the perfect way to experience a luxury resort on a budget.

Where to stay in Sölden

Down in the village, traditional Tyrolean-style buildings stretch along the valley. We offer 3 hotels in Sölden, all with access to some great facilities including a spa area with sauna and steam rooms, bar area and central location. All hotels are available on a half board basis with breakfast and dinner included with your stay.

Bars and restaurants in Sölden

With more than 30 mountain huts and restaurants in the Sölden ski area, you'll have plenty of options to choose from. Most of what is on offer around resort is Tyrolean specialities, but you'll also find other cuisines throughout the village. Be sure to visit ‘Ice Q’. Perched on top of the Gaislachkogl peak, recognisable by its glass façade and steel towers, and used as a location in the James Bond film ‘Spectre’.

If you have never skied in Austria before, then you won't have experienced some of the world's best après ski. Sölden is a lively resort with pubs, cocktail lounges and bars available both in resort and on the mountain. Stop by a mountain hut for an après ski beer mid run, or spend the evening socialising with friends over dinner and drinks - whatever the vibe, Sölden has it all.
