A purpose built resort that was constructed in the 1930s (and extended again in 2006 to host the Turin Winter Olympics) Sestriere has a modern and trendy feel to it, with a lively après ski crowd that congregates in the popular bars and pubs around the town when the lifts close.

Sitting at the very heart of The Milky Way ski area in Italy, Sestriere and nearby Borgata are the perfect home base for those of us who truly love the mountains. Whether you’re a complete beginner, or a seasoned expert, The Milky Way ski area truly has something for us all. With more than 400 kilometres of pistes to explore, there is plenty of skiing and snowboarding to be had in Sestriere and beyond, joining with Sauze d’Oulx, Claviere and Montgenèvre over the border in France. Your 6 day ski pass covers two days skiing on the French side but also one day in nearby ski resort of Bardonecchia, approximately 50 minutes away.

We have 4 hotels across Sestriere, offering a variety of facilities to suit all needs. All offered on a half board basis, you will benefit from having breakfast and dinner included with your stay. Some of our favourites include the Grand Hotel Sestriere, which has a central location, providing easy access to the resort amenities, and a cosy bar with a fantastic wine list - perfect for ending a day on the slopes. The Hotel Savoy Edelweiss is also a great choice and is known for it's extremely friendly staff and hearty meals that are sure to keep you refuelled throughout your holiday.
Bars and restaurants in Sestriere
Sestriere offers a great selection of restaurants and bars. Predominantly Italian and Piedmont cuisine, this area is known for its wines and Prosecco, as well as cheese, meat and freshly made bread and pasta. Sestriere is a lively location on the après front and is also home to the Tabata night club, which claims to be one of the biggest and the best that the Alps has to offer!
