When you stay at Hotel Monte Sella it feels like you’re staying with a family friend. Nobert and Cristina are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them or their wonderful team. The Art Nouveau building makes it seem like you’ve stepped back in time and there’s little nostalgic touches throughout the property. The rooms are great with lots of space and comfy beds to collapse in at the end of the day.

Traditional hotel

The historic Hotel Monte Sella has been loving run by the Cristofolini family for over four decades, the property is over 120 years old and retains the charm of a traditional alpine hotel, although it has been loving renovated over the years. The comfortable rooms are bright and airy, furnished in a modern Art Nouveau style, making this an ideal base for a comfortable stay in the Dolomites.

Make sure to leave lots of room for breakfast and dinner as the food here is great. When it comes to meal times you can enjoy delicious in-season dishes, the chefs prioritise using local ingredients with produce coming from the area including flour from Venice and salts from Cervia. The menu combines tasty Tyrolean cuisine and Mediterranean dishes, each evening you can enjoy a three course evening meal in the cosy dining room - there is a wide selection of wines from the South Tyrol, be sure to ask the staff for their recommendation.

Great location

The hotel's location means you are only 50 metres away from the ski lifts, so you can be skiing the world-class runs of the Dolomiti Superski in no time. The hotel also organises free guided skiing and snow-shoeing for guests on selected dates. You’re right in the centre of the resort too so there’s plenty of bars and shops in easy walking distance.

Soothing spa

We highly recommend taking a day out to enjoy the spa too. Have a dip in the indoor pool with wonderful views of the Dolomites, or rejuvenate in the sauna before relaxing on a lounger. If you truly want to unwind, massages and treatments are available through the inhouse therapist, or if you want to stay active there is also a fitness room with a range of equipment.

Free daily cake and savoury snacks from 3-6pm (tea/coffee payable locally)

Free weekly snow-shoe excursion (from 06 Jan 25)
