Arctic skiing in Myrkdalen

Myrkdalen is one of Western Norway’s largest ski resorts, offering spacious, uncrowded slopes suitable for all skill levels, along with terrain parks and outstanding off-piste opportunities. The resort is especially great for first-time skiers and snowboarders, there's a dedicated beginner area serviced by a magic carpet and smooth progression to gentle blue runs higher up the mountain. There’s a wide variety of well-groomed blue and red runs so that intermediates can take their pick - if you're up for a challenge, there's also a couple of black runs to explore. While the ski area may not have lots of black-grade slopes,  its exceptional off-piste terrain makes it a hidden gem for those seeking adventure beyond the marked slopes.

Bars and restaurants in Myrkdalen

There are a handful of lovely cafes and restaurants in the resort. If you are looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat at lunchtime, the Myrkdalsstovo Welcome Centre Café serves sandwiches, baked goods and waffles - they're not to be missed. If you are looking for a spot for dinner there is a good selection of restaurants, whether you're in the mood for stone-baked pizza, fondue or Norwegian delicacies - there's something for everyone.

Myrkdalen offers a laid back après and nightlife scene. Pudder After-Ski is the best spot to enjoy a drink and catch up with family and friends, there's a live DJ set most afternoons too. If you want to keep the party going, Pudder will reopen as a nightclub later in the evening.

The resort is centred around the modern Myrkdalen Hotel, the property offers ski-in, and ski-out access to the well-groomed slopes, plus all of the resort amenities are just a snowball's throw away.
