Whether you're here to hit the slopes, explore the Arctic Circle on a reindeer drawn sleigh or whizz around the fells on snowmobile, the Ylläskaltio Hotel is the perfect place to stay. The simple, modern hotel has been designed with lots of great facilities including a bar and restaurant.  Plus, it's located within walking distance of the centre of Äkäslompolo with direct access to the cross country ski tracks.

Panoramic restaurant

The large semi-circular restaurant has high ceilings and large windows, which create a really nice open space to enjoy your breakfast and dinner- the snowy views are an added bonus. The meals are inspired by the flavours of Lapland, however there is a variety of options to meet most tastes. Additionally, a cosy lobby bar can be found on the hotel's first floor, which serves a range of drinks.

Sauna in every room

When you're not enjoying the wide open runs of Ylläs or snowmobiling through the wintery landscape, cosy up back at the hotel, have a drink in the bar or relax and make the most of the private sauna in your room - there's one in all of them. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and have all the amenities needed for a break in Lapland. There are two different room types available, a twin room - ideal for a couple or small family or if you're holidaying as a family, go for a family room - they have a mezzanine above the main room with two additional beds.
