Hotel Le Val Thorens is a great addition to our collection. A modern and warm hotel, with great facilities and an even better location. 

Excellent Location 

Hotel Le Val Thorens is a firm favourite due to its fantastic location. This hotel is situated on the Val Thorens piste with ski-in, ski-out access, meaning skiing the whole of the Three Valleys ski area is super accessible and easy. Pop your skis on at the door and ski down for around 2 minutes to reach the lifts and the ski school meeting point.

Spa and Relaxation

If you like an hour or two to unwind in the evenings after a day on the slopes, you're in luck. There's a fabulous heated indoor swimming pool for you to use, with views of the surrounding mountains. The hotels spa area also has a sauna and steam room to really help relax those muscles after big ski days. 

Restaurants and Bars

There are two restaurants on site, “Le Val Thorens” and the Savoyard “La Fondue” to fulfil any cheese lover’s desire, both having vintage and warm décor to cosy into. Le 1971 bar has a fireplace and music to listen to whilst sipping on a cocktail, or on a sunny day go out to the terrace and take in the mountain views.

At an altitude of 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and as part of the huge Three Valleys area, it is undoubtedly one of the very best. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre - where car access is restricted. The height of the resort means skiing in Val Thorens consists of long hours of sunshine, an unrivalled snow record and great skiing for all grades. 

Skiing and snowboarding in Val Thorens

Val Thorens is known for its fantastic snow quality throughout the winter season, with the majority of the skiing being above 2000 metres.  Beginners will enjoy being closer to home on the fantastic nursery slopes, while the more advanced will enjoy the variety of different graded slopes throughout the resort. Being part of the largest interlinked ski area there are no limits on where you can go. Those with a full area pass have the opportunity to explore the wider Three Valleys ski area, a snow lovers paradise, with efficient links between Meribel, Courchevel and Les Menuires.

Where to stay in Val Thorens

We offer a range of accommodation across Val Thorens. If you'd like a more laid back holiday, we have some fantastic half-board hotels with breakfast and dinner included in your stay. For those of you who are more independent, self-catered apartments would be the best option, allowing you to explore what resort facilities are on offer. However, if you'd love a completely stress free holiday with everything taken care of for you, a catered ski chalet may be the best option. No matter your needs we have something that ticks every box. The majority of our accommodation also have the benefit of ski in/ ski out access, making it incredibly easy to get onto this world renowned ski area.

Bars and restaurants in Val Thorens

The nightlife scene here is vibrant, you'll find plenty of great options for restaurants, bars, and clubs to choose from. La Folie Douce is the perfect spot for a drink or two after a day of mountain adventures. You'll love the lively atmosphere, with  live music and DJ sets to keep you entertained. Après ski continues in Le Monde, a Dutch bar in the resort's centre. If partying isn't really your thing then don't worry, there are plenty of bars where you can enjoy watching live sports. The Shamrock Irish Pub is a great place for you to check out.

Buffet breakfast is served each morning 7.30 - 10am. 

The hotel’s two restaurants offer two dining experiences and two different atmospheres. La Fondue serves traditional specialties from Savoy, while Le Val Thorens Brasserie invites guests to savour a market-fresh menu that varies with the seasons. Le Val Thorens Brasserie is the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, but bookings can also be made in La Fondue for dinner.

Bar 1971 is open for lunch with a snacking menu, crepes and a lovely terrace area with mountain views.
